Brought my bmw z4 in when the AC went out. He could have insisted on replacing the whole compressor which would have been way more money but he replaced just the coil with an affordable aftermarket one and got cold air running again quick at a really fair price. You don't always get that kind of honesty so I'll be coming back if I need more repairs.

LT is fantastic. It's rare to find an honest master technician who does not just throw parts at the problem unless it is necessary. This shop treats your vehicle with care. I own a Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, which despite the Chrysler badge, is a Merdedes SLK32 AMG under the hood. They were born during the Daimler-Chrysler era and most American shops do not know how to work on them. I took my car to LT as he is specialized in European and Asian vehicles. He was accurate, fair, and knows what he is doing. I can only recommend taking your car here if you want an honest opinion, at a reasonable price. Thank you again.

This is by far the best and most honest and nice mechanic I’ve ever done business with in my nearly 40 years of driving. He’s fair on pricing and high on value. He works efficiently and takes extra good care of my vehicle. He’s drained my transmission fluid and replaced it, changed my front and rear differential fluid and changed my spark plugs and changed my oil and filter etc. I can’t ask for a better experience for my 2019 Infiniti Q 50. It feels brand new again!!!!

LT is the man! I brought engine and transmission mounts for my Mercedes engine to him as I have been feeling slight engine vibration and Mercedes are notorious for that problem. He was honest and told me I did not need this replacement. He took the time to look over the car and diagnose where the vibrations are coming from. He also identified a leaking hose and was honest, letting me know what can wait and what should be done soon. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest which is rare in today's world of mechanics unfortunately. I wanted to establish myself with a mechanic who can work on European vehicles and who I can trust to service my car going forward. LT is that guy. Highly recommend him! Best prices in town and will not charge you for things that don't need to be done.

I am not one to write reviews, but I can't say enough good things about LT and his shop. I have two older vehicles that I absolutely love (BMW and Denali SUV - both 2001) He does domestic vehicles too!! When cars are 20 years old - ALOT of stuff needs to be replaced. He currently does all the work himself because the people he has interviewed did not live up to his quality of work and standards. That tells me he really cares about his craft, quality of work and reputation. I have thrown a lot of VERY DIFFICULT jobs at LT that other shops would not touch. Not only did LT knock these jobs out with suburb quality and care - he did it for a FRACTION of the price that the dealership & some other Indy BMW shops wanted to charge (I know because I called around). Both my vehicles are running better than ever. I am so grateful to have a masterful, trustworthy and scrupulous mechanic that is local. I have lived all over the country and had countless car repairs done throughout my time. Mechanics like LT are hard to come by these days.

I've brought my 2008 Infiniti, which has over 350k miles, to LT's three times now, and each experience has been excellent. The first visit was to replace the ignition coils and spark plugs. Later, he identified and fixed the root cause, a leaking oil gasket that had led to the ignition issues in the first place. Most recently, he repaired a faulty fuel pressure regulator. What stands out most is his responsiveness and trustworthiness. He communicates clearly by text, explains what needs to be done, and is transparent with pricing. The quotes he gives upfront are accurate, no surprises on the final receipt, and his labor costs are fair and consistent. It's hard to find a mechanic you feel you can trust, but I definitely trust him with my car, which I am very attached to, and will keep going back to give it the care I feel it needs.

If you want someone reliable, HONEST, fair pricing, excellent repair, done quickly, and better than any dealership, GO TO LT Foreign Car German and Japanese Car Repair. I needed a control arm and motor mounts, and needed a foreign car repair service for our 2002 Mercedes. LT foreign car is under new management. So I brought the car there. He not only did a great job, but because my husband had open heart surgery, and needed a car to get him to on going medical care, he fixed the car while I waited. He had a place full of cars, but did the job, at a very reasonable price. He also pointed out that the Ball Joint on my left front tire needed to be changed. It was his last day open before his Closing for Christmas. I had no time to fix the ball joint. I had to pick up my daughter the next day at Tampa Airport, it was Midnight as I am waiting for her to come out, I was circling the airport, when I kept hearing the tire noise and more play on my steering wheel, I pulled in to the hotel bus and taxi area. Just then, to my horror, the ball joint broke, my tire wouldn't move. We rented a car at the airport. Our insurance company tow service came, and I had the car towed to LT FOREIGN CAR German and JAPANESE CAR REPAIR, at 5 am, Sunday, leaving a note and a key. The first working day after Christmas, I got the call from the owner of LT FOREIGN CAR. He gave me an estimate within a half hour, we told him to change both front tire ball joints. By 4:00 we had a car again and we're able to return the rental car to Avis, and save five more days of rental that we originally requested, since we didn't know how long it would be. We thank the wonderful owner, whose name I don't know, for fixing our car. It's perfect! It runs smooth and better than ever at very reasonable cost. By the way, we asked him to check the breaks. He said they were fine. No work needed. He is so honest. Everyone with a foreign car, should use him for tune ups, oil change, service of any kind. You will be so glad you did.

We found LT Auto Repair online and read the reviews. We decided to take our 2013 BMW X5 to him after a bad experience at another mechanic. We were having an overheating issue and LT was able to diagnose the problem very quickly and prepared a written estimate within hours. He replaced the water pump, and our issue was resolved at a fair price. He also shows you the old part(s) that were replaced and performs a ride along test drive, so that you know the work was done and the problem fixed. We returned to him a few weeks later with a starting issue and he was able to again diagnose and fix our issue. We are very grateful to have found LT as he is very knowledgeable, honest, and responsive.

LT is the consummate professional. I took my Range Rover in for an estimate and left for work. He texted me with a reasonable quote to fix the issue. I gave him the go-ahead to order the part and resolve the issue. My vehicle was ready for pick-up the next day. Throughout this process, he kept me in the loop and was true to his words. Weeks after I got the vehicle back from repair, he texted to see how the vehicle is running. I highly recommend his services to anyone with a foreign vehicle. Shout out if you need an honest knowledgeable and affordable mechanic, particularly if you own an Audi or Land Rover. (More knowledgeable than Audi/and possibly LR dealership in my opinion) and does NOT try to up-sell you on unnecessary repairs. There is a difference between mechanics and master mechanics, I believe LT foreign falls into that Master category and given the due diligence on calling around shops. Some shops either too busy, don't work on them, and conversation on phone call that you don't get a sense that they know how to resolve issue other than saying your turbo booster needs replaced. I have a late model Audi Q5, warranty just lapse. Long story short, dealership estimate to diagnosis excess potential transmission, oil burning and booster sluggishness could run between $1200-1500 with codes that was provided when I got it read by one of those scanners. Based on what dealership wanted (Just diagnostic WITHOUT repair). Sticker shock!!! I called around and found this independent shop that specializes in European car. After talking to a bunch of other shops. I trusted my instincts to take it to LT, based on his stellar Google reviews and our conversation on error codes and having educated hypothesis on what's wrong. I described the issue and he said I think I know what it is. It's not your transmission, but bring it in let me run it through the computer at no charge to validate his hypothesis and said you have 2 issues that would cost me fraction of the cost of the dealership. One was the Approved the repair and got the car back 24 hours later. What I appreciated the most is that we discovered another issue unrelated to that and rather than trying to upsell me for additional repairs he told me to wait till it breaks or to come back in a few weeks to recheck for free. What car repair place says that? (Refreshing to hear) So in two weeks I will be sending my Land Rover there as well. If they can do the same magic with my Audi. Expecting the same results.

I took my 2012 BMW 750I to Bert Smith to get a small water leak diagnosed. They told me that every hose on the car had to be replaced per BMW specifications. In order to do this they would have to remove the turbos. The charge to diagnose the problem was 254.00 the cost to fix the problem was over $5000.00. They said this is the only way we can fix it. I took the car to LT he pressure checked the system and found two clamps that needed to be replaced. Total cost of the fix with some added anti freeze $86.00. My advice to anyone who has a European model car that is out of warrant is to take it to LT don't let the dealer try to rip you off.

I returned from shopping Saturday afternoon and pulled into my driveway. I was listening to a song when all the lights started going off on the dashboard. First the airbag light. Then the ABS light. Then the stability control lights. Then the wipers started and no way to turn them off. I called LT service and told him the problem. He asked if my battery was old. I stated I purchased a new one thinking it was the issue. BMWs have sensitive electrical systems. I said yes and he said it's your alternator. I took it in, he tested everything and replaced the alternator. That was it! Fixed!! When someone can point to the problem with just a few clues, tell me this guy knows his stuff. LT's is now my shop!!

Engine overheat light went on in my VW. As other reviews have mentioned, the dealership is an expensive mess to deal with. I came in 3 times (with my baby) and LT personally diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, topped off my coolant and got it installed for $115. My father in law said that a disreputable mechanic could have easily charged many times more than that and taken me for quite a runaround. Thank you so much LT! Can't imagine going anywhere else in the future.

LT Foreign Car Service expertly diagnosed and repaired, in less than a day, the electrical issues with my 2001 BMW 3301 that had knocked out my entire dashboard mechanism. LT also fixed my A/C malfunction, which was also caused by a wiring issue, rather than having to replace my entire A/C system. This is an honest shop, with reasonable pricing who provide first class expertise. They deserve all the business they can handle by owners of foreign motor vehicles. Do not be fooled by the lack of parking space at their location. The German tech shop which had been repairing my BMW for many years would not address the electrical issues to repair the dashboard of my 2001 330i because of the complexities and there were no guarantees they could fix it. All I got from LT Foreign Car Service were positive results, friendly customer service and a new No.1 auto repair shop for my BMW. I can not recommend LT Foreign Car Service highly enough!

Unbelievable service on my VW golf from 2015.. reaching the ole 110k mile mark so things are breaking down a bit. Needed a new AC compressor. The dealer service at Bert Smith quoted me at above $4,000! I'd probably have to leave the car there and although their shuttle service is great, the service people themselves always forget things and are unorganized. I had to tell them 3 times about front headlight bulb and they still never addressed it. I go to this little place and they offer easy text communication, order the part in one day and fix everything within a day of me taking it in! Oh and the price was literally a quarter of my dealer quote. I understand business is business, but good lord I never imagined the night and day difference for car repairs. They also didn't try to sell me on other minor stuff that could be wrong, just got the job done, we're very polite and friendly and solved the issue. I highly recommend these guys and will be back there for any other problems that arise. Sorry Bert Smith but you guys are ridiculous and it makes me feel like an idiot for never looking elsewhere for other repairs in the past. Bert Smith is great for the dealership but as I should have known, the service is overpriced and disorganized. LT Foreign all day!!!

Outstanding. Trying to find a single word to describe my experiences with LT is hard but I think outstanding fits the bill. When you have an older German car that needs service, you don't want to go to the dealership as you know the effort will be half and the cost will double. Trying to find a good indy shop for German cars is nothing but stressful. However, my stress is over...LT is a great place and the only place I will take my car now for service. Had him do a valve cover gasket replacement and run codes on my BMW 135, service is always outstanding and prompt. Cost was much cheaper than the dealership and overall he is honest, helps explain the best he can, what the issue is and the best way to fix it.. He's also straight up honest when he can't fix something (TPMS) and tells me to run up to another shop. I found my BMW guy; outstanding work and service.
